Damn... That sucks because the mini hasn't got functioning wipers. I carry a bottle of Rainex but pretty much just avoid driving in the rain. I hope scruitineering don't check that kind of thing.

    hi slim
if its wet they generally slow the pace down
they wont allow cars out with slicks etc
it is well run , they try to put similarly matched cars out together where possible
anyone caught doing something stupid will be asked to leave the track , it does sound daunting but they run three or four of these a year, and there has been very few incidents in the whole time that they have been conducting the events

A mini will be fine, there are heaps of stock standard cars there, some go to the extraordinarly lengths of going to the nearest wreckers and buying a wreck for $50 and coming along.

Pre-entry is not required, just show up, take your car straight to scruitineering, pay your money at the scrutieering bay. There is no supp regs as this is a Fun Day, they will explain the rules at the drivers briefing at about 9.30am. Scrutineering bay is at the top of the hill in the bright red building.

Have fun, I might be over in the arvo.

Heading from Melbourne, the Glenrowan BP stations are just past the Winton Motor Raceway turnoff, yes?

    Sweet...

That means I shall be coming to this...

I'll head to the BP and fill up, and head to it again before I head home...

If you're coming from Melb. just take the Benalla exit, fill up in town then drive straight on thru the town and over the bypass which will take you straight to the track, no need to go to Glenrowan then double back !!

    What brand is it?

I'm not a brand snob, I'm just one of those lucky people who has a fuel card to use...

Sunday, that's if I go... Which I more than likely will...

Cheers for that Ian, I can go to any of the major 4 brands (Shell, BP, Mobil, and Caltex) as I have a card for each of them... I just want one not too far so that I can start with a full tank and use almost the whole lot...
