fwiw: TCCQ joined the Marque Sports Car Club to gain CAMS affiliation - was cheaper than direct affiliation and gave us access to cheap PL insurance if we properly organised a non-competitive event that attracted a significant crowd (e.g. 50+) such as a cruise or show-n-shine. Also allowed some members to get started with sprints & hillclimbs.
