Good to know, that puts another internet myth to rest.
Conclusion: 1JZ-GTE (JZZ30) Map sensor is the same as 2JZ-GTE (JZS147) Map sensor.
The MAP sensors appear to read to ~17.5psi (4.92V output).
Tested using a Blitz DTT (Dual Turbo Timer / Boost gauge) as the reference. I've also tested the Blitz DTT versus two individual mechanical boost gauges (An Autometer and a Speco) so have quite a degree confidence in it.
Some other discussion is in this thread...

The Trust E-manage Ultimate supports this too.

Good work Wilbo, I hope you didnt go to all that trouble then find my thread!
It was fun putting this info to the soarercentral boys. They didnt take it as easy as i thought as a LOT of them have been using the 2JZ map sensors as FCD style UPGRADES! haha

You'll notice in my post that I linked to your thread!Originally Posted by JZA70 R
I think that my data is a little bit more empirical and maybe a little more generally useful than yours (shows a little extra information, mV/psi, voltage per specific psi etc)...also I like to check things first hand! Your results agree pretty well with mine, we just went about it different ways btw I did rep you for itOriginally Posted by wilbo666
Anyway I had an ulterior motive for doing this, along the lines of a configurable boost cut defender / MAP interceptor )...I just thought I'd put up my measurement in the hope that it might help someone one day!...I might post more about my MAP interceptor too, when / if I get it working

Good stuff, top work +rep

Good job there, very interesting to see.
Yeah this oughta help me soon or later, cheers

Strange they didn't give it the same part number. Toyota are the world best in lean manfacturing if they could have used the same part in two different models i would have thought they would have.

The 2JZ one bolts to the inlet, the 1JZ mounts to the firewall.Originally Posted by ra_28
