One of the first things I would be doing is upgrading the front suspension... rack and pinion with calculated geometry (rack re-sized and re-located to suit) will be the biggest upgrade you can do, and will extend your practical suspension limits further than lightweight components... then the heavier brakes may not be a problem. BUT, if you leave the standard farked geometry or replace with similarly crap geometry, then one bump could see you kissing a wall at the end of the straight (and will kill any hope you have of a track car) plus make the car a pig to drive on the street. Big brakes wont help you then.... so my final point is this... fix the suspension, brakes arent the only thing you need to think about in a 1080kg car with 700hp.

true, but i believe the title of the thread is "biggest brake upgrade for RA23/28" not "whats the best thing i should do with my suspension/steering b4 fitting my big brakes" as that is a completely different topic (but should be addressed also).

    cheers

Oh, and you can go as big a brake as you want on it, depends how much custom work you want to do. So in answer to the title of the thread, I would probably say Bugatti Veyron would be a good place to look for donor parts. Not really practical, and would take a lot of work, but hey, its the biggest.

I thought it was 22s ?? Dont have a spec manual on me

Just make sure you are thorough with your steering geometry, a small mistake can have dire consequences.

    Back on topic....

    I had 17s on OWG.OOR. 17 x 7 and 17 x 9. Look at the Members ride thread.

I had big brakes because I raced against EVO's, M3s and Porches etc.

It was Custom and cost about 6K for Front AND back.

I got some Porche Cayanne 6 spot and 4 spot calipers from ebay (Canada) for about $1700 bucks. I got HSV 330mm disks for the front (brand new) and some FPV 328mm disks for the rear (brand new). Custom alloy hats were made up, and it fitted to standard RT142 struts (the struts from a previous brake conversion).
