    Default MA61 Suspension

hey does anyone know if/where i could get some coilovers and a strut brace for an MA61 Supra? ive been looking around but cant find anything... if coilovers are unavailable which would be best suspension set up for the MA61? e.g. springs n shocks combination...

I think a lot of people have been adapting S13 coilovers and/or jzx100 ones? search for norbie, has has front coilovers on his beast.

as for strut braces, there is a group buy on celicasupra.com, but they aren't cheap... i think most people are adapting S13 ones or going custom...

I've got the whiteline swaybars, king std springs, RA60 strut tubes, all new bushes and tokico shocks in my supra... and i'm very pleased with the handling...i wouldn't mind some strut braces and something to correct the negative rear camber but for the minute, it goes well! performed very well on a track overtook a E46 M3 (similar skilled drivers) through some corners! (he did pass me later though )

    For the strut brace:

And have you heard of AJPS before?

I've got both front and rear custom springs through him and he also does coilover conversions so if you get hold of some celica struts for extra camber that'd be the go I reckon.

I'm running RA60 struts with 300lb progressive springs and koni yellows at the front and at the rear of got 260lb springs and some KYB shocks. Modified front strut brace and stock sway bars at the moment and old bushes but it still handles a heck of a lot better than stock. It's a work in progress

The best way to get front coilovers is a custom setup, eg coilover sleeves from ImportBitz, get them welded onto your struts, add whatever springs you want, and get some decent strut inserts. As for the rear, there's no easy way to do it which is why most of us haven't done it. There's nothing wrong with a conventional spring/shock combo; the only advantage of coilovers is height adjustability and the large range of springs available off the shelf.

Its been pretty much covered but just so you know, there is no such thing as 'off the shelf' for an MA61. Everything is custom.

I have fully adjustable TRD Coilovers front and rear on my MA61. But it would be next to impossible to get hold of another set as they are rarer that rocking horse poop.

To be honest though i'd recommend simply fitting lowering springs to the rear and Coilovers to the front.
