Default Air Temp Sensor - 3sgte

    Hey guys

Starting to wire up my 3sgte to my Microtech, need to find the air temp sensor (or on that will work with the microtech) to mount before i start. Are the standard one's compatible, and if so where are they located on the standard inlet manifold? If not, what sensor (brand and model please) have people used?

    Any help most appreciated, Cheers

If your 3SGTE had an airflow meter, then it was built into that. Just use a Delco air temp. sensor.

If its for an aftermarket computer (which should have a method of calibration for any temp sensors), then you can just go to the wreckers butcher one out of pretty much any air flow meter you can find. Mine came from a 3sfe afm IIRC. after looking around a bit, I suspected most toyota afms use pretty much the same air temp sensor.

I just used a 1jz sencer and put it in the intake chamber, where the cold start injector used to be. I'm using a microtech aswell. Works fine, didn't even need calibrating.
