Microleb wiring assistance on 1JZ!!!11oneone!!11(LTX-12)

well ive had it confirmed by my tuner that its the cam sensor around cylinder 4 & 5 which makes it the rear one...he has done a few of these installs on 1J's

it would seem that they have forked up a few things down at ol'house of microleb on thier diagrams but everything else is wired correctly (barr the 4 & 6 coilpacks but thats easy fix) so it shouldnt be too hard to get it sorted tonight...then all thats left is a cleanup of the wiring with some conduit, wiring of the alternator and then some broom broom tuning

On the 1UZ ignitor diagram they even say 'earths through body of ignitor' (which it does), but then go on to show that one of the wires on the ignitor needs to be earth, which is crap.

I guess you have the new ltx-s?
'cause my old ltx wiring diagram doesn't quite follow what you've said for the coil packs.
coil 6 is -ve orange, coil 5 orange/black, coil 4 orange/red

This information is from microtech...is this the format you used?

ugh, now I have to go take my spark well cover off.

all that's important is for the LTX:
1. yellow
2. yellow/black
3. yellow/red
4. orange/red
5. orange/black
6. orange

and you should be wiring everything direct to coilpacks on a new loom, not bastardising the existing one, so you don't need to know the coil pack colours

yep I know that i should be wiring onto a new look and thats what I have been doing, I just wanted definitie confirmation that I need to swap around 4 and 6 as I have wired them up via grahams way on the old forums in that 4 has orange and 6 has orange/black

The only thing im not sure with now but can be fixed via trial and error is the CAS and Cam Sensor wiring

Ok ive just gotten home from the workshop and the wiring has all been sorted, we have used cam sensor number two and its running great!

its a little rich and doesnt idle too well, mainly becuase of the 440's but it runs just as well as it did on the stock ECU, especially on boost

cant wait to get her to the tuner and wind up the boost...time for the magical 300

Yeah, front cam sensor will put timing ~180deg out.

on another note...whoever tuned this ecu before *cough* donnon *cough* did a pretty shitty job...as it has sfa midrange and all top end...whats the point??? high dyno figures?

makes me glad im heading to jazmac
