Default mag wheels, change of bolt pattern

Hey all looking at some wheels that are 5 x 114.3, is it legal to have them redrilled to 4 x 114.3 and if so who would do it?
Note these wheels run a centre caps to cover the bolt pattern and i have seen them out of japan as 4x114.3 but not in the offset that i want.

hey also it is legal i think if there is enough meat around the other stud pattern it all depends on how ur wheels is designed
what i would do is ask a round tyre places and if possible show them a rim and ask just to make sure
cos sum rims u cant do it too cos of interferecne wif the other stud pattern
i know tempe tyres does it i think its like $20 bux a rim to redrill
    cheers

from memory i have seen nice jap wheels wif both 5x114.3 and 4x114.3 so in that respect i think they make like two holes common to both stud pattern
so yeah it can be done
ring tempe start with them then ring payless tyres i find payless tyres is much better than tempe lol customer service is better

Most wheels are not solid in the centre. You'll find most wheels that are 5x114.3 have 5 solid pads where the stud holes are drilled and 5 voids in between these which are there to save weight. This will not be safely redrilled to a 4 stud pattern.

It really depends on the construction of the wheel and I'd suspect that if the wheel is available in 4x114.3 but not in the size you want then there is a reason why it isn't provided in 4x114.3.

well i know its def under $120 bux all up if i recall right from memory because i rang them earlier this year regarding some wheels which needed to be redrilled but couldnt cos the stud pattern interferred on the my wheels
