    Default additional 4AG help needed....

I've just checked with my Japan source for Toyota and piston # 13103-16030, the O/S 10 to 1 piston is not available in Japan.

Can I ask my fellow toymods forum members to check with their local Toyota dealer (if you would). A phone call... an email... I'm trying to track down 4 pistons (also looking for rings). Thanks... and if you tried and weren't successful please post your country, city so any one else offering can see areas that have already tried.......

    THANK YOU!!!!!

This is the 4AGE piston... not to be confused with the 4AGEC pistons. There are two markets I know of that got a TVIS "high compression" piston, "EUG", and Singapore. Japan, USA, most other markets got a 9.4 to 1 piston. The two markets above used a 10 to 1 compression piston.

I plan on using these pistons in my "new" engine. Along with a TRD .8mm head gasket I'll be a comfortable 10.4 to 1 (or a bit less once the combustion chambers are reworked ala TRD. (USA here... so gas is limited to 87/89/91 octane

My "new" project is using the early internals inside a true high compression/small port block/head. I currently run Web 294 grind cams, I'm looking at either the 577... or maybe the Colt "Tri-Flow" cams(if the dyno as expected) What I'm after is making the better hp, with a wide torque band with peak torque up near/over 105 #-ft and transmitting as much of that as possible out the blacktop flywheel. Most likely will still use a factory ECU

oh ok higher comp 18mm pistons.
you could always get the smallport ones and ream the rod to take the bigger gudgeon

your gas is the same/better than ours. the USA uses a different octane rating system to ours.

btw. those pistons and rings are still avail in japan
    13103-16030 $127.09

    13013-16180 $200.00 d/c

prices are normal dealer cost in NZD
