Just an update on this, if you wanted to buy the conrods for this build, spool has 4 sets sitting on the shelf for $600 a set.

Also we can do a run of standard length rods for $780 a set, need 4 to do a run, 50% deposit and they will be available early feb.

The spool guy said if we do a run he will actually do 6 sets himself so he has some stock as there seems to be a market for it.

I will most likely be keen. Will get back to you.

Stroker ones, I would then need offset ground crank? And shorter pistons?

Yes you need a gen3 crank which will nede to be offset ground. And the custom pistons.

Im weighing up on forged rods or not, kyle had plenty of success with stock ones and im only going for around 270rwkw. Which should be easy with teh massif lift cams and hks stroker crank. That $780 could go into a decent port job.

Good point. But then added security.

I need to find pistons and everything to build a good motor.

I just sold a set of pistons on ebay dude

Also if your going to all these lengths definately get yourself some cams, and with it upgrade valve springs. I just ordered my springs from "performance springs" in QLD, $285 delievered. These are the ones kyle used as well.

As for cams - again I just sold a set on ebay, they come up vary rarely and your looking at least at a grand for them. Other option is regrinds, but again your looking at $800 and I personally wouldnt trust a regrind. Custom billet cams are over a grand easy.

Yeah I saw your bits, was eyein off the pistons but went back and they were gone

as for the cams, wasn't sure if they were going to be too stupid or not.

do you have a part number for the valve springs? Will def be getting some when I do the head studs at minimum.

    fark, $450.

Who are they? Good quality? Cos I know I would rather pay the extra for spool if these others aren't good quality bits.

too late for sales tactics with the cams lol.

Might speak to Tighe cams or something and see if they can make a set still.

Thanks for the other info when it comes.
