I could have told you that.
I have seen quite a few surfs and 4runners swapped onto 2wd hilux chassis.

The front guards, bonnets,lights. bonnet and grills can be swapped to the same year hilux though, thats what i have done on mine.

Also with the tubs you have 2wd and 4wd tubs, the 4wd ones are the minitruckers friend, help you tuck those wheels under the guards nicely.
