    Default HELP!!! removing gearbox

    Hey people
    im trying to get the R154 off my 1j, the engine and box are out of the car, and i cant get the frigging thing off, i have tried and tried, it gets to a point where is it about 2cm off, and gets stuck, does anyone have any special tips? or just keep going at it?

    You need to unbolt the pressure plate from the flywheel!

    Undo the inspection covers on the side of the bellhousing, and then undo the bolts the secure the pressure plate!

    You'll need to turn the engine over a few times to get to all the bolts! Loosen them a bit at a time!

    The R154 has a pull type clutch...

    MA70 TSRM is the same for this operation!
