River may have one I wouls assume the RA25 is similar.

If it is not the one 71TA22 is after I'd still be interested if you could find this as I have to work out how to wire up mine which is exactly like yoursOriginally Posted by TA22 GT

Yes it is the same monitor as you have.
I have a TA27/RA25 diagram but it only gives half the info I need.
OK, I'll look through my info. I assume you both have the OK Monitor computer?

Simon
I do. Cant answer for Mark.Originally Posted by TA22 GT
No I don't have the ok monitor computer as yet (forgot to bid on it on yahoo Japan) but I reckon that I can sort something out by using other sensors/relays etc if I have to.
I am interested to see how the factory wiring is done so I can adapt it to my needs so any diagrams would be much appreciated
OK, I found the diagram. I'll load it up tonight. Its in Japanese...
Like all other Toyota diagrams, it shows the wiring but not what goes on inside the computer. The problem you will have using relays etc is that the system is usually open and when a sensor fails it earths. It also runs a test when the ignition is on, during this test all lights illuminate to check the globes are good, once the car is started the lights go out. When theres a fault the relevant light will continously flash.
Also the rear brake globes aren't 21W, instead they are 23W and you need these for the computer to read teh correct current.
I remember the hassle I went to to sort the wiring out on my monitor. Funny that since its been functional I haven't had any faults....
Cheers,
Simon
Simon,
I look forwrd to seeing your copy wiring diagram. Should be ok with the globes etc as every thing electrical on my 73 will be JDM.
I have taken the 75 GT wiring harness out of the 71 so I pretty much have all the basics. First I have to work out all the changes I had to make to this harness (a lot) to get it to run the 71. Then its a case of splicing in the monitor and computer.
Here it is Mike.
Good luck

Simon,
Thanks for that. I guess I will have some fun over the next few days sorting it all out.
Yeah I had the same problem a couple of years ago. Its not ideal that diagram is enough to figure it out, you just need to take your time.
From memory most of the wire colours from each sensor match the colours at the computer, of course the earth colours etc are standard white/black etc.
Cheers,
Simon
check your PM stidnam![]()
For those interested the OK Monitor "computer" and Lamp Failure units:
And to prove the complexity of 70's electronics. Probably what a chip the size of a full stop would do these days.![]()
I think I have worked out most of the wiring.
Simon, for the Lamp failure relay on your diagram is the stop light circuit the upper or lower section? One of the circuits also has a feed going direct to the computer. The feed wire in the computer is GW which following usual Toyota convention would be from the stop light circuit.
