just thinking out loud, but I would maybe check your spark, see if it's dropping out, fuel pressure.??

What boost are you running?, if you go above 14.7psi you will max out your map sensor and trip the fuel cut which will cut injectors. Best way to fix this is a fuel cut defender, $25 from jaycar, will alter the voltage from the map sensor to the ecu so it wont think its running above 14.7psi therefore wont cut.

could be droppin spark under heavy load which could be coil related, or yea, a fuel pressure problem. If you can rev it above the 4000 freely when in neutral id say coil packs. I had a similar problem in mine, and yea, a set fixed it right up :-)

um funny enough ive heard of ppl using excel ones with there aftermarket computers as a budget change, but thats on smallport versions. Ring sss automotive in sydney if your out of luck trackin one. If they have one ill go grab it and post it. I know they can be a pain to track down...

Check your AFM wiring buddy, if you dont have an ECU related problem i would def be putting my money on it being a wiring issue.

So its only cutting at a certain RPM, doesnt do it under any other condition (ie isnt affected by eng temp, intake temp, load etc etc) ???

If so i would be taking a good look at the AFM.
