20v has diff dizzy plugs and u need vvt plug and maybe injector plugs and u might need 20v idle motor plug and the coolant temp might be diff
Hey guys i am able to get a microtech ltx-8 with loom hooked up to a turbo 20v. Just wondering if i would be able to use it on my 16v when i go turbo? It would have to be tuned but would most of the plugs be the same? I know i have to change my 16v distributor and run coils, but is there anything else?

Yes you should be able to. The dizzy has a few bit difference but basically the same. I think the Microtech uses a single TDC point for the dizzy anyway so you will prob be modifying it. The main difference is that the 20v uses vvti, but this may not have been used on a turbo setup anyway. I think you should have no probs as the 20v has extras the 16 does not, also coolant temp should be same as they use the same thermostat but the aftermarket ECUs can be adjusted to take into account any differences. I rem a while back a saw an article that ran a 20v ecu with the 16v ecu and they modified the TVTS to run the vvti. Was no 100% but it still ran ok. I'm sure an aftermarket computer will be fine in running this.
