I have just joined Toymods and are happy to finally be a part of this club.
A wee while ago i fitted a aftermarket blowoff valve too my AUTO 1ggte just for kicks to see what it would be like out off curiosity. which was stupid! I was just interested in seeing the effect it would have on the auto models. But curiosity kills the cat they say!
I adjusted the tension on the piston to the right idle pressure to open and shut at correct times and it was ok until i tee joined the vacuum hose from it back to the intake where the boost gauge reads from and then it idled and ran shit. Any ideas to what has happened???
I have taken everything off to do with it so it is back to normal again, and it is still idleing bad and not running well? The valve was atmospheric and when i set the idle pressure on it before i connected the vacuum line to intake, i drove it and it was working ok.

I think i must just have some sort of vacuum leak somewhere? otherwise why does it not idle and stall? someone here must have some ideas surely?

mines hooked up the same i have problems with idle but happened before i put bov on. My bov opens up like 3 seconds after i change gears :S
Previous Rides: JZA80, GA70 GT, RA63 GT x2, TA61 GT, TA63.
You either need to fix the vacuum leak on the small vacuum tube, or there could be a leak in the BOV itself as well.
As in, either the BOV vent area is sucking in air. Or where you've attached it to the intake pipe.
Check for vac leaks around there, if you feel around, whilst someone holds the revs up slightly (Don't pump the throttle, you want to try and keep it in as deep of a vacuum as possible to feel the air sucking in) you should find the problem.
I have a digital meter with the boost/vacuum sensor in the engine bay, initial setup:
1) 1 line to the fuel regulator
2) 1 line cross over the head for the power steering I think
3) 1 line for the butterflies ( I T-ed off to the BOV )
4) 1 line for the sensor ( I t-ed it for the extra greddy boost meter )
The car was running a bit funny, hesitates, delay effect. I tried running without BOV : same, so it wasn't the cause, can find no leak as well.
Then I swap the lines setup : 1 line for sensor alone, 1 for butterflies/BOV/meter and keep them as short as possible, it runs better/normal.
Maybe you can try it ( if you have a digital meter )
I mean if you have the pressure sensor.
I notice some 1Gs don't have it, is it only for GEN3? for the gauge in digital meter? or actually reading/feedback for the ECU?

The sensor is for the digital gauges to show boost pressure. It does read feedback to the ecu as well though! And my car is a 86 model with factory digital dash. The car doesnt have to be a GEN3 ONLY to have a digital dash! as mine is GEN1 with yellow injectors.
As i said in the previous post that i took the b/off out and still had bad idle etc, since then i have further diognosed it myself and found out the problem which is GREAT!
It had was a very small (tiny pin prick hole in the vacuum line that i was using from the blow off valve so it has finally been fixed.
