ok just checked the injectors and theres definately something weird going on..

to one side of the injectors, ive got battery voltage, whether ign is on on off. (shouldnt 12v be ign fed, rather than battery)?

to other side, with ign off, ive got no power and no earth (to be expected), but when ign is turned on, i get battery voltage to this side aswell. despite this when i connect up my led test light to both pins, i get 2 pulses then it drops out (while cranking)..

so now either its got some wierd way of switching circuits, the ecu's dud or ive got a short to earth with some circuit thats ign fed?

this last option doesnt make sense, coz if it was shorting to earth you'd be thinking sparks or wire burnies?? actually then again if the ecu is dropping the injectors out becuase of the short there would be no earth circuit, only 12v to both pins, hence no circuit. but that doesnt explain why i got 2 pulses when cranking..

farrkkk.. my heads starting to hurt. better go diagram hunting again.

    ITS ALIVE....ALIIIIIIIIIIIIVVVVEEEEE MUHAHAHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH

fuxed if i know what i did. found out my housemates 4age manual had ALOT of diagnostic info in it (similar to parrots link) so i stuffed around for ages checking continuity between injectors, voltages at connectors etc.
got the diagnositcs to work (and now im gonna make a permanant switch and light for the bitch), and it give 11 beeps (ac/tps or ecu trouble). so i checked tps operation and continuitys in tps circuit, and reset the tps to factory position (had previously removed)
sorted out some pretzel looms etc..
while i was checking the 12v supply at the injectors i accidently sorted it to earth for a split second. went to check the injector switch circuit. had nothing! checked an 'injector fuse' someone had previously installed and it was blown, i had previously tried it and it was fine. found another tried continuity again and it was all good. put it back together and it ran!

so whether it was tps settings, dodgy/backed out terminal, dodgy fuse or a break in wiring i unwound, or maybe i just decided to play the game like usual, i have no idea!

    + rep for all!!!

Sounds like a full re-wire is in order.

    I hate dodgey wiring!

+1 for rewire... there is nothing like sitting on the side of the road while waiting for a taxi because you couldn't be bothered spending the extra hours doing it properly!

well being a dedicated race car its highly unlikely ill have to wait for a taxi if it breaks down

oh and just for the record, i didnt do the wire up.. bought the car almost as it is. its not THAT dodgy, it just looks shit. ill go for a new ecu hopefully next year, and just do minor touchups till then. she'll be right
