Help Please

Hey well i was tightening up my exhaust cam cap bolt yeasterday to stock torque settings and the F*#Ker of a bolt snapped off. So thinking logically i went into the local toyota to get one as it is a 7mm bolt but was told its not a servicealbe item as in i need to buy the entire new 20valve head to get the single bolt. I also went to local bolt store and they have 6mm and 8mm but NO 7mm so does anyone know where i can get one from or does anyone have spares? any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you sure it is 7mm???

It sounds odd.

However you can get hold of 7mm bolts from decent suppliers. You will have to hunt around.

Yeah its a m7 x 1.0 40mm long bolt. The guy at the bolt shop said the same thing to me when i showed him it. His words "your shit out of luck" The annoying thing is i have hundreds of 16valve spare ones but they are different size again.

Bolt King at Capalaba are pretty good when it comes to getting odd stuff.

Bolt masters in Townsville its pretty limited up here. can i get one made up if need be or is that impossible?

Id just get on the phone tomorrow and call around you will beable to find one .

Mabe google some bolt suppliers around Oz and call em up. That way they can post it to you if you find what you need.

I have bought 7mm bolts before + have a tap for em ...... so you can get em in Oz

FWIW it was champion that made the 7mm bolts i had. ....... You know those little handy packs they do.

So you should beable to get one through a supplier of champion bolts. I just tried their web site but they dont have a decent product listing or catalogue.
You will just have to try repco or somewhere like that and see if they can order a pack in from thier catologue.

just go to the wreckers or buy a 4ag head if ya lucky a buggerd one for 50 bux then you have heaps of them
