Default more performance from my 2006 levin wagon

I have a stock standard 2006 Levin Wagon, and want to boost performance without adding a turbo.
Any ideas on what I can do would be appreciated.

    search my friend

If your on a budget, do the basics:
    - air filter upgrade
    - exhaust

then realise your doing up a levin wagon

They have to accrew enough for nose reconstructions as well as feeding his mime family. The dont talk much so they never need much water for their dry mouths.

I know I can add a oil based air filter and the exhaust on the 2006 models is ok..perhaps except for the muffler. I was told by an exhaust specialist that a large (rally type) muffler is only ok when I'm cruisin at 110k's. but not much benefit around town.

I take your point about the levin...thanks!!!

Any ideas on the muffler I should look at fitting?

I'd ask an exhaust shop what will best be suited to your car for a performance benefit, then ring 5 different ones and get em to compete with each others quotes.

I would suggest going for a TRD Panel type drop-in filter for starters , and look at some extractors and a decent exhaust , Cold air intake to the standard airbox

There are a few cheap nice sensible options

I'd recommend visiting http://au.toyotaownersclub.com and seeing what a few of the members there have done to their 1ZZ-FE corollas. Unfortunately it will take you a while to filter the good from the crap, but you get that... there is quite a bit of useful information there.
