Suggestion for new trophy for toyfest

Hi there guys,

I'm just putting this out there as a suggestion,

but what is the posibility of introducing a "Nath Dean memorial trophy"?

In his short time on the scene he was well liked and helped out a fair few people with his time, embodying what this club is about.

My suggestion would be that it is for a general car that is in the build process - being done bu the owner. kind of like an encouragement award.

Any other thoughts are welcome.

The cruise and trophy is a great idea guys. Maybe get a $5 donation or something from every person to hand over to the family, just to show how much he will be missed. I'd sure as hell pay $5 to attend a cruise if it was going to Nathans loved ones in a time of need.

Or perhaps all the money raised could buy some sort of "You will be missed" plaque with his life span and name on it, and a celica, and given to the family from the toymods community.

Individual memorials are OK, but a whole section dedicated to 'lost members' would send the wrong message to the authorities I feel.

I love the idea of the Nathan Dean Memorial Trophy for Toyotafest though... should go to the blackest car

I would also definitely support a cruise for him too, he loved to cruise (when the car was running) and I can't think of a more fitting tribute to the guy. Megecruise would be perfect if you could arange something in time Stitty.

nath was a top bloke. and im all for this kind of thing.. but i just have to ask one question.

has everyone forgotten kevin already? (phrostbyte) wheres his memorial trophy / memorial cruise?

i'd like to see a section for passed club members too as we owe that to them to show our respect and care.. but we are all equal so if anything i think the minute of silence should be two minutes of silence for both the boys this year.. lets not forget about those who embodied the toymods spirit even though they were interstate members...

EDIT - I was PM'ed by a member expressing discomfort to what I've said above.. However I'd just like to clarify I mean NO disrespect at all. I liked Nath a lot, he always made me laugh, and my view of him is of the highest respect. What I am saying is that all Toymodders who have passed on should be respected equally by the club regardless of where they hail from. Give Nathan a minute, Give Kevin a Minute, and give Murray a Minute.. we all share the same love and follow the same cause regardless of where we live.
