i will most likely be going the Blue route... why not put the surge tank and pumps on passenger side?
Hi,
I'm currently upgrading the fuel lines in my ra28 that i've recently bolted a 1ggte into. I plan to put the fuel system somewhere at the back on the drivers side.
I've been under the car looking at the best possible route to put the fuel lines considering the exhaust crosses from one side to the other. I had come up with a couple of ideas but I'm a little lost here still. First idea was to keep the fuel lines in the same position and bend over the firewall. Second option was to go under the passenger floor, up and over the tailshaft and along to the back or to run the same route that the line to the charcoal canister goes down the passenger side of the transmission tunnel, over and then behind the diff.
I can see drawbacks with all options so I'm not sure which to pick. First one places it in proximity of the turbos, second places it up on over the tailshaft (not sure if that is such a good idea) and the third way places it close to the exhaust at the rear which I want to go over the diff.
Anyway I've included a little diagram which explains the ways I'm thinking and would appreciate the feedback from those that have done this.
Thanks

Im about to do the same with my RA-23 and i was going to do something similar so ill be keeping an eye on this thread but why route the line across the firewall and follow the line of the transmission tunnel? Thats what i had in mind.

Green one seems good to me. Nothing wrong with crossing over in the trans tunnel. Just do it as close to the gear box as possible.
Corollas have the fuel running down the side of the tunnel and even maybe on the top from memory

I went with blue and red.
Red is supply, blue is return.

I would go with green, cross over above the extension housing of the gearbox... no moving parts under it.

Doing the things that aren't popular... cause being popular and being good are often distinctly different.
Hash_ra23 I don't want to put the fuel setup on the passenger side because of the exhaust. I could put a side pipe on but I'd rather have a full exhaust system.
Hmmm so I'm kinda tempted to go the green line now. Ordering some aluminium bundy tomorrow along with my new lift pumpnot long now not long.
