    Default Where do you find the engine number on a 1GGTE?

    I was just wondering where do you find the engine number on a 1GGTE cause so far i can't find it. Can anyone help?

    i think its down the BOTTOM right side of the block (from looking front on view...)

    can check in the morning fo sure tho

    Either that or if its in its original car it is the last part of the vin

    under the inlet manifold, around pot no.4.
    raised chars "1G" then serial number

    The location of the engine number depends on the generation of the engine. Gen 1 and 2 are as described on the lhs of the block under the inlet manifold - about no 4. For gen 3 it is on the casting at the back of the lhs of the block that connects to the gearbox bell housing near the starter motor.

    Both easy to find from underneath.

    on my Gen3 I had to shift the clutch line bracket from the block to bellhousing to read the number.

    I found it just near the starter motor, thanks for all ya help guys, rep for all.
