I'll post that to you, and then you can give it a go on the one in less good condition!

Hey all,
I've got a single core radiator in my ra65 and suspect it's not flowing enough to support the system at operating temperature. My question is, is it possible to pull off the end tanks myself? Is there a special tool required to do this? I noticed they are plastic tanks and so I expect it to be clipped down with an o-ring or something?
Please help! I'm getting sick of only just making it to work without my car overheating !!![]()
Cheers,
James

I'm not really sure if you can DIY it. I wouldn't mind knwing myself. But I have seen a radiator dude pull them apart. Pretty sure they replace the metal crimp/tab thingy. there is a rubber o ring seal that goes right around the end tank/s which they usually replace too.

Hi, Im enthused about corollas..
James, I've got a couple of buggered rads you can use to practice with, and I'll probably also be ditching the rad from my RA65 with the 1G - from rough measurements, VR commodore looks like it'll fit, and is available cheap new. If you want a bit more cooling capacity, try the VS III V8 one.
James, I have an SA63 radiator at home if you need it... Give me a call...
Can't afford it?... Don't buy/drive it...
