IIRC a jzx90 front shaft fits straight in (or at least the one i used fitted) but it used jzx90 mounts so it may be slightly different.

Greeting fellas.
I am in the process of converting my 1jz cressida mx83 to manual using R154.
I got almost most of the parts ready for the installation.
At the moment I am just waiting on the clutch kits.
My concert is the tailshaft,
I know that it needed to get a custom tailshaft made up.
to be able to do that, I neeed to install everything, then measure it up then wait for weeks to get it made up.
to save me from waiting, I want to ask people that has been there and done it before, could give me the measurement? or the length for the tailshaft need to be made up?
my car is MX83 1992' 1JZ from JZX81, and using R154.
thank you all in advance

weeet!!!
well, I think my R154 is from JZX90 chaser, it has that remote shifter.
The last two I've had made were collected the day after ordering.
The last one I had done the center uni was shagged out, so they gave me the option of a complete new 3" one-piece or a two piece at a significant extra cost.
how much did it cost you?Originally Posted by too_quick
for now I think I will stick with the cheapest option.Originally Posted by JP
My box is off a JZX90, not sure if there a tailshalft attached, hope it does!
I got mine done last Friday at Driveline services which is at Archerfield QLD.
Charged me $270 do cut it down 20mm, Cut off and attach new uni's and my flange plus balancing. They had to use collars in mine because i gave them a 3 inch shaft and a 2.5 inch shaft.
I'm happy with the job.
