*bump* come on guys im sure someone on here has replaced their bulbs with LED's
I want to change all the intrument lights in my 23 to LED's, i have found heaps on ebay but am unsure which ones i'm suposed to use. I don't want any fancy colors, just white LED's. Could someone please point me out the model numbers of the lights or just post links to the right ones to use from ebay or jaycar?????
cheers

go here and find what you need

then search for it on ebay and get it 1000000000000 times cheaper

I've tried using the "LED wedge lamp" replacements in my RA28, and it wasnt that much better than the normal filament bulbs.
What i suggest is upgrading to "1W star LEDS". It takes a little extra know-how, but FAAAARK is it a lot better.
Here's my little post on how i did mine.

I would recommend using the cheaper ZD0508 1W leds from jaycar ($10ea). Unfortunately most stores are out of stock of the AA0582 driver module needed to power the leds - give your local store a call to find out if they have the AA-0582 driver module.
Parts required:
3 x ZD-0508 $9.95ea
3 x HH-8580 $2.95ea
1 x AA-0582 $19.95ea
wire $2.00
TOTAL = $60.65.
Expensive.... but look at the result

cheers for your help guys seems a little expensive but at night the light coming from the normal filament bulbs in my instrument cluster is next to non existent, also did you use white LED's or blue? what lights did you use for the air/heater control???

Trebor,
I used the ZD-0470 "self adhesive LED strips to illuminate the heater controls.
These are worth $7 per strip of 3-leds (see below)
These are good because you can power them off 12Vdc, they have a wide angle light output, and are quite bright.
I did try to use them for the speedo/tacho, but i only had two strips, and that wasnt bright enough... and i had the Luxeon LEDs just hanging around
The reason the dials come up blue-ish cos its a "cool white" light from the LEDs, and with the blue backing it makes them look blue. With the normal yellowish light it mixes with the blue to make it green illumination.
