ToyotaFest 2007 - Vic Thread

Hey guys,

A few of us are going to Toyofest in Sydney (near Parramatta) this weekend and we need one more person to come with us as we've had a cancellation...

We are staying at the Mercure Hotel near The Rocks on the Saturday, Sunday, and Monday nights, and RiceburnaGTV has been kind enough to lend us some couches/matresses for the Friday night....

We will be leaving this Friday, meeting at Kalkallo Shell service station at 7am, and leaving Sydney at about 10am next Tuesday...

Accommodation will cost you a cheap $175 which covers the 3 nights...

You are also very welcome to join us in our cars as we're taking 2 cars between the 3 of us...

Monday 1st October: Toyota Fest Lowenbrau Dinner and Beer
Wednesday 3rd October: Toyota Fest WSID Drag Racing

Great to hear you're doing the trek!! Don't forget also that as per last year, we will be going to the drags (WSID) on the Wednesday night and probably have a night out (drinks & food) as per last year... details yet to be finalised, but keep it in mind if you want to take advantage of the full Toyota Fest experience!

I'll have the offical thread for Toyota Fest posted up in the next week or so...

Ooohh... A week sounds good to me... Accommodation will be pricey, but it may well be worth it...

Formula 1 hotel on Great Western Hwy @ 69 bucks a night FTW! Well worth it I'd say. It's right in the middle between the Toyotafest venue and WSID

Just like a wise man once said...

I would be planning on staying at one of the Motel Formule Ones as they're cheap, but very decent... Similar pricing to Backpackers, and very clean and modern... They usually cost about $59 per night for up to 3 people per room... (1 double and 1 single per room...)

I'm heading to Toyfest this year, and will be heading south after the drags. so will probably join in on any convoy. Might stop off at Canberra for a few days and visit some long lost relation (?!?) in the big house with the flag pole though on my way through.

OK guys...

Let's get an update on who's going to be attending...

So far I have the 3 of us listed above, and I believe Slim is also intrested...

It looks as though we will be heading off on Friday 28th September, and returning Thursday 4th October... I may return on Tuesday 2nd, but have not yet made my final decision...

Don't be silly Turd, your ride be ready. Even if it means a couple of long nights, seriously, not that much needs to be done.
