    Default TA22 taco not working

    hey guys
trying to get all the gauges working in my gf's celica
hard part is all the wiring is a complete mess, chances are that the taco gauge works fine its just a wire not connected or broken.
would anybody be able to tell me how to wire up the taco to where it goes, and what wires go where, i think its just a couple of body loom wires to coil isnt it?

    thanks, jesse

A friend of mine has a pet rat she calls Taco.
    I love (good) Mexican food.

Taco: A corn tortilla folded around a filling such as ground meat or cheese.

Anyway, the tacHo only needs a couple of wires: power, ground, and coil -ve. Make sure the tacho wire is connected to the coil -ve and isn't broken, fallen off, etc.

From memory it's a black wire around the coil for the tacho. That should be connected to the negative side of the coil.

i had the same problem with my 2tgeu is wasnt sparking coz the -ve coil wire must have shorted somewhere so took it off and it fired right up.

the wiring shouldnt be that much of a mess unless some one has been there. check connections on coil and the connections at the back of the cluster. tacho's wouldnt really play up i would think

Could still possibly be a faulty tacho, I had an RA40 which had a faulty tacho, replaced the unit with another and it worked fine. But for sure, check the wiring first.

the reason your guages arent working is cause they are made out of mexican food
