    Default conversion formula

ok now i know a few people i have been talking to would like this, i am chasing the conversion formula for predicting a cars horse power, now i have looked and the net and there some formulas there to speed and stuff like that but i need the hp formula. as you all know in queensland atm they are cracking down hard on old car, and this weekend was the weekend where i was going to put my turbo on, but i need a mod plate to keep my celica out or the porks hands, and a guy i know will do me one up with out a dyno sheet (cause i dont have the cash atm to get it on a dyno) all i have to do is work out the hp.

    what engine?
    is it NA or turbo?
what rpm will it make peak torque and peak power?

    basic rule is...

power = (torquexRPM)/9525 (for kW and Nm)

for torque, you can guesstimate from...

    100Nm x (capacity in L) x (total intake pressure) x (VE)

total intake pressure is 1 for NA, and 1+ boost in BAR for boosted

VE is typically from 85-95 depending on engine...

or you could just go to a dyno day and pay $50 to get a dyno sheet
