    Default Sc14 Supercharger

I Know this has Probably been Covered Before but With the SC14 What do you Wire the EACV Valve to for Correct Operation. This is a Custom Install using a Dual Map Option and Switch for Switchable Charging. when is the EACV Valve meant to be Switched on, When Under boost? Can someone post some Diagrams for this Setup.

www.google.com is your friend On the other hand, I wouldn't worry about it. If you're doing a custom install like that, then remove all the ancillary crap that you can, and that ranks up there as one of them

    What are you talking about?

The VSV(variable solenoid valve) that controls the ABV(air bypass valve) or the ACV(air control valve) that balances air pressure across the S/C rotor bearings?

When the VSV is "on" it is blocking teh vacuum to ABV so it closes.

The ACV that Balances Air to the Bearings. Or is it Really Necessary. If not Can you just plumb the Lines to a Positive Pressure Area

That venting/air pressure balancing across the supercharger axis bearings is vital as it prevents the boost pressure from blowing the lubricating oil out of the bearings. No oil in bearings means U/S S/C.
There is a AW11 4A-GZE S/C chapter from a BGB that explains this better than my shameful overuse of abbreviations.

The ventilation pipes are only actually introducing atmospheric air into the bearing cases...

I think this whole thing is a bit of over engineering by toyota coz i hear of plenty of ppl who have pulled it all out with no ill effects or noticable shortened life span of S/C. I havent removed mine off my 1G, but i did crack one of the vent line connectors last time i had everything in and out. Iv araldite-ed it back together and i think its all but blocked it...

As long as the cases are well sealed, their volume is that small, twould take bugger all air to equalise pressure accross the bearings, especially given that the roots style chargers do not make a positive internal pressure... Meaing it wont move much oil/grease.

i run mine vented to a catch can, the oil in the supercharger will still vent vapour and instead of feeding it to the intake it should be taken care of just as importantly as a cam cover breather (oil vapour is a possible fire hazard)
