There's a GE sitting on my garage floor mofo, soon to be in my engine bay. but untill then i need to get to work, prefferably in a car that idles.

Oh the carbie was cleaned propperly. man i squirted the shit outta it with carbie cleaner it was everywhere. That's not to say that it's not clogged up again.

I think i might have to chalk this one up to mystery. The 4age will be going in very soon anyway.

Thanks for your help this far.

I'll let you's know if i find out what it was.

    Cheers

Does it have a black plastic vacuum valve tree in a water housing at the RF of the engine?

Back in the day, some of those things would mess up causing drivability problems, a little before my time though, so I can't remember the symptoms.

did you clean the inside as well?

carby cleaner does nothing unless you sprayed it with the nozzle thing into each hole inside the carby, and made sure there was a clear path thru the castings...

you did pull the carby apart right?
didn7t use silicon goo to put it back together?

No, i just squirted the dirt off the outside and called it clean

i made sure everything was spotless before i put it back together.
