Celica factory alarm / central locking

Is there a way to disable the annoying 'chirps' that the factory alarm makes on an ST204 Celica? I feel so 90's every time I lock or unlock the car! I don't care about the alarm, just the remote central locking, so would it be possible to just disconnect the siren and use it for the central locking function only?

should be just a case of locating the beeper and disconnecting it.
