Peter,
This is great event. I am going to get involved. I'm surprised that no one else in WA wants to have a go either.
Cheers,
Mitch.
Targa West is Western Australia’s premier tarmac rally event. This year there will be a field of approximately 80 cars competing in a variety of categories. Entries currently stand at 50, with Jim Richards in one of his Porsches and Kevin Weeks in the Lamborghini Gallardo confirmed. The event will run on Friday 7 Sept, Saturday 8 Sept and Sunday 9 Sept 2007, with the prologue at the AHG Driving centre (to determine starting order) on Thursday 6 Sept. See www.targawest.com.au for further information plus some great footage from last year’s event.
The new stages on the Friday cover the Zig Zag in Kalamunda, Mundaring Weir Road and Canning Mills Rd are also confirmed.
Being part of a Chicane Team is a fantastic way to see the whole field of cars in action. In most cases, all you need to do is show up an hour before the stage starts, setup the chicane on the dots marked on the road, watch the field go through & packup again.
We are holding a chicane and RSZ team official' s thank you BBQ at Bindoon Sports Ground (Service Park) on the Sunday starting about lunchtime.
The main officials thank you party will be again at Whiteman Park on the weekend following the event.
A Chicane team consists of a minimum of three people located at various points in the Chicane - so grab a couple of mates & either post here or pm me if you'd like to get a guaranteed front row seat for Targa West 2007 action. If you don't have any matesthat's still ok - we will find a Chicane team to slot you into.
Regards
Peter

A reminder to people that Targa West is on from this Thursday until Sunday. If you like great exotic and fast cars, try checking-out at least one spectator stage or display.
