FWIW I would roughen up the walls of the injector port with a diegrinder and a fine bit as well just to get it to mate properly. other than that, looks good.
How's it, I'm doing a 4AGE to twin Solex conversion, as mentioned before. This is just a little write up on how I went about filling up the Injector ports.
The putty/resin I used was Sellys, Knead IT. AUTO FIX wich cost $15 from the hardware store as JB-Weld wasn't avaliable. Importantly it's petroleum (pertol) safe. If you are filling up injector ports this is very important as silicone sealents will disolve over time if in constant contact with petrol. It is also heat resistant up to 120deg C, which should be fine for the intake side of an engine.
Step 1Use a good Gaffa tape to tape up the underside of the ports as shown:
Step 2 After taping up break off enough putty to do 2 ports so that it doesn't go hard before you finish. Using the heal of a ball point pen as a tamper stick, compact the putty into the injector port. Don't forget to supprt the underside, as you stuff the putty in you should be able to feel it form to the shape of the injector port. With your finger smooth over the top of the injector hole.
Once you're done it should look like this:
Your injector ports should now be vacuum (or boost) safe![]()

I'm going to give them a light sand with Wet 'n' dry to take off any loose bits. Other than that I can't see it making a huge difference.

if you scratch it up, it will have somethign to grab/key on to, it could potentially make a huge difference!
So far so good, keep us posted on how it holds up against the vacuum and temperature changes.

I would even go as far as drilling some small holes on the inside of the inj port for the putty to hang on to.
While its unlikely i know, you wouldn't want the putty to get sucked inwards at high vacuum.

tap it, screw a bung in with locktite and die grind to match port, dont thread the whole way down leave just enuff so you can tighten down on something.
i dont have a funny or cool signature.
I wont be going to any such lengths, they're in there good and proper. The injector seat acts as a stopper to stop it sliding in, and the inside of the port is reasonably ruff anyway.

Yeah, they wont slide in under vacuum, but i can see them popping out under high boost.
Probably wont make any difference to you (as from memory you are just going NA carby) but for others who may be using different injector ports for high pressure turbo applications they may blow out.
I only say may, and the keying may prevent this.

I had the exact same setup, and one blew out on a backfire. To get home, I bent up a 5c coin and sikaflex'd it in the hole (I used what I had). Interestingly, it lasted in there just like that (5 months or so) until I took the car off the road
Don't think sikaflex is petrol safe either...

Allan key bolts... Button heads... shave down the heads to fit into the recess of the injector port, cut down the thread, neaten up. bolt in with lock tite....
removable injector block off...
The thread, im pretty sure, matches the thread on the engine mounts of a ta22, (well it must, as I used the old nuts from these engine mounts to hold the Allan key bolts in the vice while grinding)
Just got the Webber'd 4age into the ta22 last night (only took a year or so haha!)
^^
how are you going about ignition?

running a Bosch Mec716 Coil, through a relay, (ill get part numbers and hopefully some pics for you once she's running)
Relay picks up on coil signal, sends signal to dizzy... really simple and bloody effective.
I ran alluminum custom bungs on my injector ports, worked a treat and cost shit all
Good thing to coz i converted the car back to efi
I would have just brought some brass welch plugs from an autoparts store and popped them in...?
edit: is the repco part no: for the right welch plugs RBC058 which is 5/8" in dia.
