1UZ Start & Drive Issues

Hi All,

Recently had the speedo drive cable seize and the auto no longer changes out of 1st gear.

Can anyone tell me WHY?

And on start, it idles rough like a miss, then corrects it's self in about 30 seconds to a minute.

Have recently changed the plugs to NGK Iridium, but haven't checked the injectors or cold start yet.

it no longer changes out of 1st and the cable is now fixed? does it still have the electronic speedo and is it still working?

the rough idle could be a leaky injector so check them first.
