I dont know about the 1j, but on my 3rz and 3sgte, i just reused the existing one which is a multilayer toyota one.
Hi Guys
Just a quick one.
Im fitting a single turbo manifold to my 1jz, one of the ebay jobbies.
The manifold is being machined to ensure a dead flat surface.
Wondering if others have used the supplied gasket, or got one from a more reputable supplier?![]()
Its a DSF composite gasket, looks to be ok but i'd hate to have to replace it anytime soon. Engine out job in my case!
Has anyone had troubles ??
Cheers
-Phil

the factory multilayer gaskets will be better.Originally Posted by BeRad
just a hint though, when you go to fit it all up check where the rivets in the factory gaskets sit and drill the mani flange to suit.

Dont use that at ALL Phill.

Definately reuse the multilayer gaskets Phil. That is a real POS right there.
Haha thanks guys, much appreciated!
+ Reps all round, thanks Linden for the tip with the rivets.
