    Default 4agte wiring

    Hi all,

I'm an novice when come to engine wiring so i need some help.
Just about to get my 4a back from the builders the problem is i have a ae82 twinky with ae92 dash conversion from a ae92 4afe.
I have the ae92 4afe wiring under the dash complete with heater, fuse panel under dash all sorted out .
Outside the car i have ae92 4afe wiring for headlights, blinkers ,horn, etc,etc sorted out, but have no 4afe, 4age or 4agze loom for the engine at all.
I also have no wiring for alternator & stuff like that i mean there is no wiring for the engine at all. Where the 4afe wiring continues from under
the dash from 4afe ecu through the firewall its been cut so what do i do, what wiring loom do i use?
I'm looking at getting a microtech LT10 with 30psi map sensor new coil packs etc
    help guys!

Not entirely sure what you're asking, but the bits missing you describe sound like the main engine loom to me as ignition, fuel, electrics are all on that arm of the loom that goes into the engine bay through the firewall.

If you are getting an aftermarket ECU then you'll need to make your own loom for it, otherwise you would use the loom from whatever the donor car was.

    Hope that makes sense.

Your gonna at least need all the plugs off the sensors, ignition sysyem etc. to be able to wire it up to your aftermarket ecu. Everything else is easy enough. All the 4afe wiring from the ecu will mainly be instrument cluster specific like tacho, oil light, batt light, water temp etc.
All the body designated electrics can be wired up as per factory.. just wire it up as the factory diagram describes.

You will probably also need to re wire the dash so that you can get tacho outputs, temperature, and oil pressure and voltage if your dash has that to get its signal off the microtech. Alternatively you could also use the 4afe sensors on the g/ze engine to give the right signals to the instruments. Your probably better off using the microtech though provided you can get the right outputs for the dash to work.

As for the body loom you will need to wire the alternator to the 4afe loom which is easy. Im not sure how that starter motor gets hooked up in your case whether to get the microtech to trigger it or just use the standard ignition switch setup or whatever it uses.
