Default Quick Question: 1JZ and 2JZ flywheel bolts the same?

    Hey guys,

I just need to know if the 1JZ and 2JZ flywheel bolts are the same? GTE's

I can get a set of 2JZ fly bolts from otomoto for less then toyo genuine 1JZ bolts so I though I'd check to see if I can save a few bucks!

    Cheers

Thread is the same, it depends on length. The V160 bolts are way longer than the W58 bolts due to the giant dual-mass flywheel. At a guess I'd say the R154 flywheel is about the same thickness as the W58 flywheel so that might work for you?

EDIT: you specified GTE engines so no, won't work sorry - unless you're willing to cut the bolts down?

Nup not prepared to cut em. Not sure if they have GE one but they could probably work then yeah? Anyone know for sure? Also GE would be AS strong as the GTE bolts I'm guessing?

I might have to order in some toyota ones.

Good info above and it's got me thinking.

We ordered some ARP flywheel bolts for a 1JZGTE/R154 and they didn't have anything listed for the 1J so were told the ones listed for 4AGE would work/be correct.

Anyone else used the ARP ones listed for the 4AG on a 1JZGTE/R154????

If they're no good we'll just use them on a 4A and order soemthing else.

I was interested in that a while ago, and according to the thread i made back then the 4AGE bolts should be a direct fit for the JZ series engines.

Infact, im currently thinking that the 2JZGE and 1JZGTE flywheels are the same
