    Default MX83 castor rod bushes n LCA bushes...

    hey guys,

    the front end has been a little noisey since we got it (and NO its NOT the 7m )

    about to do all the front end bushes on the cressy. and the lower balljoints,

    it looks like FUN

    ive read on here b4 that they are a reall pain to do, but cant find the original thread.

    have you guys got any tips/tricks to do these bastards?

    Can't really see anything that makes them especially hard to do... The hardest bit is finding bushes to actually fit! I did my LCA inner bushes recently, but couldn't find any bushes, so grabbed a bar of urethane and turned a couple up. Having a press and rattlegun handy meant the whole operation was dead simple.

    There is a circlip on the lower balljoint that is usually covered in grease and impossible to see. After getting the circlip off its just press out press in.

    Castor rods are a sweet PITA.
    I think i posted the original thing, and it may have been on the old Cressida forums. but i thought i had posted it over here too.

    awsum, where the hell did you get AFTREMARKET bushes from?????????

    i called avery bloody place i could think of, and all i could get was GENUINE parts!....and bloody expensive!

    $224 for the rod and LCA bushes, TRADE!!!!!!!!!!

    Superpro do the bushes. Ring Fulcrum Suspension in Brissy.

    ive asked fulcrum twice now and they reckon they dont have anything for them.

    Castor rods
    No-one does LCAs yet. Although there was the offer of getting some done up when i got the Castor rod bushes from them. They just need an original to copy.
