help please

hey peeps just put 4agze block in my ae82 rolla and put the bigport head that came with the car on it na atm but turbo is going on soon, I just wanna get it passed for rego now but it is running rich as just wondering if anybody has had the same problem

Check your o2 sensor, when its broken it causes the engine to run rich.

How is it running rich effecting it getting rego?

yeah well it puts out a lot of smoke and reaks of fuel. How will i be able to tell if the o2 sensor is dead?

Borrow another one to test with...

Use a multimeter, if the signal wire doesnt send out a voltage or it doesnt vary, its broken, change it is easier if you dont know alot about automotive electrics though, there cheap enough to buy anyway.
