Sequential system is notriously troublesome. To check the turbos themselves are OK you can temporarily switch to parallel mode by re-routing two vac hoses, only takes a minute and is easily reversible. If your car turns into a lag machine with a massive kick in the pants at ~4000rpm you know the turbos are all good.

ill resist temptation to test the system until the fuel pump arrives later this week.

ive bought a walbro intank pump. same as the one on importbitz website.

the auto is throwing codes (OD light flashing) but i suspect it is because the speedo cable isnt plugged in.

turns out the vacuum hose to the #2 exhaust valve and the valve on the pressure side came off, its goes into the rear turbine housing.

so it now hammers even more.

i might have to upgrade to twin AU thermos as the hydro fan just isnt cutting it. maybe i could mount it on the front of the condensor?

im also going to get a bigger trans cooler, the crown one probably isnt up to the task. something around 300x300 should fit well. any suggestions for donors?

The hydro fan is freakin enormous and will pull in small children at full song, there's no way thermo fans will match it. If your car is overheating you have other problems. Are you sure the fan controller is hooked up properly? Temp sensor connected and operational (I think it uses one in the radiator)? No error codes?

    hmmm,

i didnt install the temp sensor in the bottom rad tank as im not entirely sure where its supposed to be connected. i cant see any plugs hanging off the engine loom so i assume it was on the aristo body loom?

im not using the aristo hydro fan as its waaaaaaaaaay to big, even though i have one. im using the JZA70/JZX81 hydro fan.

edit: pin 27 is the +12v to the solenoid. i assume the ecu then grounds the other wire via a fet to control the solenoid (and fan speed). im still not sure if the ecu uses the water temp sensor in the thermo housing to control it or the temp sensor in the bottom rad tank?? anyone?

i just manually powered the solenoid and the fan really kicks in!!!

the hydro fan idea might not be doomed after all

    hell no!!

this thing is stealth. its a tad louder then a factory MX83 cressida.

the sequential system is fully operational now from what i can feel and im quite impressed with the response at 1300rpm

i have doubts about the condition of the gearbox though. at about 20kph ill drop it back to L and it will start engine braking, then after a second it will release and 'free wheel' for a bit, then a little bit later it will drop back into low without warning.

putting it in 2nd also doesnt guarentee it will stay in second, it upshifts to 3rd.

the OD light no longer flashes which is a good thing, the problem was i didnt have one side of the NSW grounded.

Good work there. I was wondering about blackening of intercoolers though I don't get much attention anyways. Queenslanders are spoiled or something. Too many F430s getting around

Have you hooked up the sp2 speed signal to the ecu
That could be the cause of your gearbox shifting issues if you havent

I wish my conversion was done in 5 weeks
    Nice work
