how long since you did the conversion?
could be as simple as the excess flux and gasket goo burning off the exhaust, especially if you're in the first few hundred kms or so.
howdy peoples since i did my turbo conversion i get a candle/wax buring smell when i give it some for a minute or so. I've checked the engine bay and nothing near the turbo or manifold seems to be melted or close.
Does anyone know what this smell could be?

fresh welding always stinks for a while, although at 500kms you should really be at the end of the "stink in" period
take the candle off the manifold you noob ;P lol, jokes
maybe try hitting all the trubo/manifold with brake cleaner and wash off all evidence of oil/grease from greasy hands....
no PLASTIC bags burnt onto the exhaust?
blake
hope you took the bungs out of the turbo
no oil leaks?
mine always smelt a bit funky. my oil drain always leaked around a silicone hose and made toast of itself on the manifold...

i did have an oil leak which dropped onto the manifold but i fixed it today, maybe it's just the rest of the stuck oil on there smelling.

how new is the exhaust?
...... butt scratcher?!
All your exhaust heat shields still in place?
If not you could have melting underseal and even worse than that melting carpet inside the car!!
As mentioned above you could have picked up a plastic bag off the road. They make a bloody mess and really stink. Half an hour with a scraper will sort it though.
