fresh oil and filter today. still the same.
got to be something serious.
yeah my hybrid block is made of a 2tgeu block with a 3t crank, unsure of these bearings wouldn't have thought it would be a problem being a 2tgeu based block. but if some one has pictures of their dummy cam bearing positions that might help. Mike aka Septembersquall you might be able to help here.
i can check with my machinist as to whether he has put the right size bearings in as the crank needed grinding to .010 under.
but im kinda thinking it might be the relief valve. well im hoping. fingers crossed.
cheers for the help boys but more may be needed

Pull out the bypass valve and check it... thats the easiest thing to do. If its ok, then pull the motor and start checking clearances etc. Start by flipping it upside down and pull the bearing caps off one by one, checking that they have the correct sized bearings (ie 10 under), this is also a good time to see if there has been any damage to the bearings during the no oil periods. Also at this stage check the tolerances in the oil pump.
After all that, if no problem found, pull out the auxilliary shaft and make sure the rear 3 bearings are turned to block correctly. If all that is ok... Im not sure where else you could be leaking oil, apart from the seals in your timing tensioner, or if the cam bearing surfaces (ie part of the head) are worn/have poor tolerances.

cheers o man
will get onto it wen i can find the time. not really in the mood atm.
pretty pissed off really about this situation.
2TG KE35. If your 2tg block hasn't had the cam bearings touched, (changed) the bearing position won't be a problem. So back to excessive clearance or relief valve stuck. No disrespect are all internal gallery plugs are sealed and tight? easily overlooked.
As o man ra 23 said and I agree engine out check pump and relief valve first then move on to bearing clearances. I feel your pain but the extra stroke is worth the effort deep breath slow down and it will all become clear.
Cheers all the best.
my 2tg is having the same problem atm. at idle ( mine idles like 1200rpm) oil press cold is 15psi. when warm at idle oil press is 0psi. but when i get up above 2000rpm light goes off and the max oil press i have had is at 5500 to 6400 rpm might make 40psi.
and im running straight 50 oil.
im still yet to figure my own out yet.
but that is exactly what mine does.
i really steering towards the pressure release valve sticking in the open position.
but hey might be worst.
