The bearings usually wear out the sleeve which they are surrounded in, so you shouldn't need new hubs unless the new bearings aren't a reasonable tight fit in the Hubs.
Wheel bearings have now been an issue for me on both me JZA80's now, as now my car is making a horrendous noise from the rear wheel hubs.
What I'm wondering, is rather than replacing them with new hubs and new OEM bearings, if there is an upgraded bearing I could get pressed into the OEM housing that would be better suited to hard driving conditions, as both my sets of bearings seem to have died around the 100k km worth of travel and I would like something that would not need replacing with hard driving after 50, 70 or 100k kms.
Are there any local products I could use for this task??

When I ordered my last set of bearings, I was told that it was recommended to replace the hubs aswell - they didn't give me a reason for this, but I do know that when my mechanic pulled the hub out of my old car, the bearings fell straight into his hand...Originally Posted by abently
could it be the sleeve that is fall on his hand? if the sleeve then you probadly have to change the hub, if it is bearing then you just need to replace the sleeve+bearing
also make sure your tyres arent worn unevenly on the edges(run you hand around them)and see if they are flatspotted
they can make a bearing type noise that can catch a lot of people out
