    Default wheel offset

Hi I am look at a set of wheels and the only info I have is that they are 15x7 with 4x114.3stud spacing and the mounting face to the inside rim edge is 150mm. I am unable to test fit as they are located interstate. Can someone give me an idea of the offset? I am looking at them going on a RA28. My initial thoughts are they will not fit.
    Cheers

Ok, if the rim is 7inch wide and has 150mm backspacing, that would make the offset a pretty huge +61.
Are you sure about the measurement?

Anyway, if you find out the offset of your current rims and measure how much clearence you have infront and behind them, stick the numbers into here and it will give you a good idea how much room you will need.
    Good. Fast. Cheap.

Remember, wheel width is from tyre bead to bead, not from lip to lip. A backspacing measurement would be from mounting face to lip (its purpose is for determining clearance) so there's probably an extra inch or so of rim width that you'd need to take into account

Taking wheel width as 8" lip to lip, and 150mm backspacing, offset would be 48, which is much more believable.

Even so, this is still WAAAAY too large for an RA28. Something in the +0 to +20 mark would be much more appropriate

    Ahhh, i see.

I agree tho, that offset would look pretty bad.

I posted somewhere around on how to measure offset whether a bare rim or with a tyre fitted, do a quick search then get them to measure it for you. Might be in the FAQ

Thanks for that info people, that is what I thought, pity about that, I saw them on ebay, simmons and cheap at the moment but I gathered that was the reason he was selling them as they had the wrong offset for him even though they had the right PCD. Probably more suitable for a front wheel drive.
