    Default Sard FPR fittings

This is a pretty noob question but I just can't seem to figure it out. I've just purchased a new Sard fuel pressure regulator and installed it. But the damn thing just keeps leaking petrol at the outlet. In the Sard FPR product pictures it looks like the fittings don't screw in completely:

I've tried screwing it and it's not going in anymore. Am I meant to put on some silicon around the edges or what?

What type of fittings do you have? ie brand etc, metal? alloy?

Maybe some petrol resistant plumbers tape?

On a similar note where did u but the reg for? and also check theres a thing on them that should have two divets, the fake ones only have 1. Double check yours cause if its a fake then maybe thats why it leaks.

I'm talking about the fittings you need to fix onto the actual FPR. They came with the the FPR. Pretty sure it's genuine. Got it from hi-octane.

I use Loctite thread sealer (teflon based white goop) on my fuel connections.
    Never had a leak.

    WURTH pipe sealer.
i love the stuff, havent had a leak yet.

the best bit is that it stinks like mixture of spew and baby shit, so if you get it on your fingers its great to give a mate a dirty sanchez. warning: it stinks that bad that a mate of mine resorted to squirting brake cleaner up his nose

    cheers

dont use thr turth thread tape tho, its shit.

the fittings are bspt (a tapered pipe thread) common to sealing fluids/air, and as such dont screw right up to the face. As has been said use some thread tape or some sealant, loctite is best.
