Default Strange fitting on Vacume line ( 4agze)

    G'day,
When inspecting my vacume lines ( about to do abv mod ) i found a large brass one way T piece fitting in the vacume line from brown VSV to the fuel press reg.
What could this have been for? its in the wrong vacume line for a boost gauge, maybe a fuel pressure gauge or something else?
Being a oneway type fitting is it alright to just leave it in the vacume line not connected to anything or should i remove it and re-join the lines? its a map ae101 gze in ae82.

    Cheers
    Tyrone..
