Default malpassi rrFPR - install advice needed

Have installed a rising rate Malpassi FPR into the 18R-turbo this weekend as part of the EFI conversion but have been unable to find info on:
-mounting position - will the FPR work with the adjustor and vacuum/boost reference port pointing downwards
-adjusting the thing - do you screw the rod inwards/outwards to raise or lower pressure?

I've found pics of the Malpassi regs in various positions - sideways, port upwards, port downwards - but there's no definitive advice. As for adjusting, most folks just 'adjust it' without actually saying how.

i'll post some pics if it helps.

    cheers and tia,
    Charles.

charles I have mine mounted horizontally in the engine bay, with the top of the guage facing the firewall (if you understand what I mean), I have not had any issues with spikes and leans with the way I have mounted it, the most important thing is too make sure the lines have no crimps in them

you screw the bolt in to increase the pressure

Make sure you put a guage on it (at leats for setting up), mine came pre-set at around 10psi. It took me ages to work out why it wouldn't idle right...

thanks for that - piping is all un-kinked and got my self an over-priced pressure gauge (see pic in here).

I went to an ebay remote sender oil pressure guage myself, I thought it might be a good idea to be able to keep an idea on the pressure while I'm driving..
