    Default 7mgte Rebuild

I have a 7mgte and has done a bigend bearing - it knocks about 3,000-4000 rpm .... do you guys think that it would have done damage to the rods/crank ?

I am about to take the sump off to have a look but whoever took the sump off last rounded a bolt

Unfortunately if you have spun a bigend bearing then the crank will be damaged

you can get a motor that develops a knock without damaging the crank...

it needs some light machining, but if you catch it early enough, its fine.

My 7mge did the same recently.
The machine shop saved the crank and the noisy rod. Now its all 0.25mm undersize and no further damage.
