hey roger, i had the same issue with my ct26. all i had to do was turn the protector plate on the rubber mount upside down, and it cleared the turbo housing. i didnt have to clock the turbo.
(although the history of my turbo is unknown, so it may have been clocked in the past....but i dont think so)

For the oil return line, (i did this when the engine was out of the car) i got a 1/2 inch threaded copper right angle, and tapped a thread into the side of the block.
    - the angle enabled me to run a hose around the turbo and back to the return line on the turbo itself. avoiding the engine mounts completely.

could you be more specific about where the water lines fit. cheers

    79 GT,

The braket it self hits not the mount which leads me to belive there are a few different brakets out there, hence a lot of confusion around what needs to be done. No amount of clocking will fix this as it hits on the circumference, not the outlet.

I will take photos tonight, currently I have 2 brakets, the 2t braket from a ta22, orignial 3tgteu (unkown car), and I will be sone getting t18 which I hope fix my problem, so there are at least 3 engine brakets out there may be more (TA23??). I will take photos of my collection tonight and the water connections.

I suspect you are missing an alloy right angle bend that goes between the water pump inlet and the bottom radiator hose. This alloy bend has an allowance (connection) for a turbo water line.

    Roger

it would suprise me if i am missing the right angle at the water pump. the amount of other stuff i was missing with this motor was just rediculous.

if it is not hitting the mount/bracket, what is it hitting... but in my case it was the circumferance of the housing that was hitting both 2t enigine mounts (engine & crossmember). pictures will surely help.

    Cheers
