Hehe, and if anyone cares, the central locking is working just fine thanks![]()
Hey peeps,
Random question for you Mk2 Supra lovers out there. Got all my car back together, some things have randomly decided to stop working, yay!
My park light switch doesn't turn my parkers on. Of course, this is JDM only, so don't know if anyone can help me. Putting it out there though, because it has to be related to the others.
Randomly, my brake lights don't work anymore. I thought that was rather special. Oh, and my hazard lights don't work either...yet my indicators do.
Can anyone have a stab at what is wrong? I've checked the fuses for all lights, my hazard-horn fuse is intact (and so it should be because my stereo is working). I'm having issues, because I can't find my Australian wiring diagrams, and of course the US stuff is all wired differently.
Cheers,
Nathan

im guessing just follow the wiring backwards from what isnt working with a multimeter on each plug untill you find power.
with multiple things not working im thinking its the power source that feeds those switches (lights / brake switch) that would be the issue as apposed to multiple switches being busted.

Fusible link is a possibility, but there is only two of them from memory.

It's gotta be a bad earth. I'd be looking around the kick panel where all the relays etc are.

How about for the hazard lights, the indicators work from both the alarm and the indicator stalk, just not the hazard light switch.

Hazard lights use HAZ/HORN fuse tho... so that would be making me think power.../ something going on there. What is the resistance of the power wire for the Hazard light switch from the HAZ/HORN fuse in the engine bay...?Originally Posted by JustCallMeOrlando
Also does the horn work?
In regards to the park lights, did u plug the switch back in?
Cheers

Horn works yep. Haven't checked the resistance no.
Yep, plugged in, and it works when my tail light switch is plugged in. Tis random.

I've got no idea, but I've got Aus wiring diagrams that I can scan and email if you need them?
Im with Norbie, Id be looking at the earthing.
Wiring diagrams would be brilliant. I shall PM you an address.

Earthing I shall look at, but where? :?

Well, found a fuse that was blown, sworn I'd checked them all, I guess that's what happens when you do it in the dark.
That solves the brake lights, now I just need to sort the hazards.

The park light switch was sorted by jigging up the tail light relay. Now it works. Last is hazards.
